Taiwan Fellowship, applications accepted from May 1 to June 30

Established by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Taiwan Fellowship seeks to encourage research in Taiwan-related issues. Experts, scholars and doctoral students worldwide are encouraged to apply for this Taiwan-based fellowship, lasting a minimum of three months to a maximum of one year.

In addition to providing round trip airfare to Taiwan and accident insurance, the fellowship also provides a monthly stipend from NT$50,000 to NT$60,000 (up to about US$2,000/month). Since the cost of living is substantially lower in Taiwan, the stipend should be sufficient to cover living expenses while residing on the island.

The program is administered by the Center for Chinese Studies at the National Central Library in Taipei. If you would like to apply or find out more about the fellowship, please visit their website: http://taiwanfellowship.ncl.edu.tw.
